Loves,

I am teaching on Sunday mornings at 11:30a at Asha Yoga. This is a Hatha Flow class so do expect to sweat, push yourself a bit, and there to be chaturangas, hips openers, arm-balances, backbends and such in the practice. This is not a power-yoga class though, so be warned that there will be instruction on breath awareness, alignment, and yes there will be longer holds along the way. Some basic experience with yoga is recommended.

If you’re fairly new to yoga and want to learn alignment and move at a slower, deeper pace - I will be teaching two Hatha classes on Tuesday evenings at Ritual Sacaramento starting October 1st. 4:30pm and 6:00p. These classes will be a deep dive into the body, the actions and nuances of yoga practice.

so much love, I’m so excited for all the work we’re doing together - it just keeps getting more and more interesting!

XO!

natasha.

We are working on diaphragmatic breath, and learning to release the psoas, hip flexors, diaphragm and pelvic floor through our foot-work in standing and supine poses and through our awareness. Here are some really great images to illustrate these muscles and hopefully help you deeply get the connections of what we are up to! Teaching on these relationships thru September and October at all locations.

Reside in your desire for the wellbeing of all beings

anjalimudra-natasha.png

Reside in your desire for the wellbeing of all beings. Know that your efforts on and off the mat deepen the breath of everyone on this planet, not only your own.
.
Know that even your tiniest shift and healing contributes more to the healing of our entire species than a thousand words could. *Example* moves the world more than doctrine.
.
Know that your embodied wisdom is enough to shift time and space around you. .
Know that your goodness and peace will bring out the goodness and peace in others just like your anxiety and despair would bring out same. We are resonant beings. Shift your inner state as a way to love your loved ones - help them shift theirs just by osmosis.
.
Your healing matters. Your breath matters, your movement matters, your willingness to start over matters. Your willingness to be more quiet matters. Your willingness to stretch and wait matters. Your patience with your loved one’s process matters. Your kindness matters. Your honesty matters.
.
Just because your capacity looks different than someone’s else’s capacity doesn’t mean that it is less important to the healing of ALL of us.
.
I need your healing, you need mine, If we are going to rise in the long run.
.
Clear out any short-sightedness and tolerare no pettiness in yourself. Meet the pettiness of others with deeper breath and understanding.
.
We are all meant to be our own expression of wisdom and spirit. We are meant to have times of strength and times of weakness so we can realize we were never meant to do it alone. We are all meant to be mirrors for each other and in soft kindness and patience hold space for each other. .
Those who lose their vision become cynics and victim of their own greed.
.
Keep the light going again and again. A true ocean refuses no river. Everything else is counterfeit.
.
Xo,
Natasha

Creating, yet not possessing

When you see something as beautiful,
other things become ugly.
When you see something as good,
something else become bad. .
Being and non-being arise together.
Difficult and easy complement each other.
Long and short contrast each other.
High and low rest upon on each other.
Voice and sound harmonize each other;
Before and after follow each other. .

Therefore the Sage acts without doing anything
and shares without saying anything.
Things arise and she lets them come;
things disappear and she lets them go.
Creating, yet not possessing. Working, yet not taking credit.
When her work is done, she forgets it.
That is why it lasts forever. .
